Higher Education Council Partners with Times Higher Education for Sector Strategy

Manama: Dr. Mohamed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Higher Education Council Board of Trustees, announced a new partnership with Times Higher Education to develop a comprehensive strategy for advancing higher education and research in Bahrain. This announcement was made during a meeting with the heads of private universities in Bahrain.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the strategy will concentrate on improving performance, enhancing regional and international competitiveness, and fostering growth within the higher education sector. Dr. Juma stressed the importance of international partnerships with leading organizations aimed at enhancing the performance of higher education institutions. He praised the progress of universities in Bahrain, particularly in terms of offering quality academic programs and following higher education regulations.

The minister provided a detailed overview of the strategy being developed with Times Higher Education, underlining the significance of the project's outcomes in supporting the sector and establishing a robust foundation for further development. Dr. Juma also elaborated on the project's execution plan, which will run from January to July, and noted that both public and private sector institutions will play crucial roles in delivering this initiative.
