Kuwait City: Dr. Diana Abdulkarim Al Jahrami, Secretary-General of the Higher Education Council, participated in the 15th meeting of the Supervisory Committee of the Gulf Network for Quality Assurance in Higher Education, held in Kuwait. The gathering aimed to enhance the quality of higher education across Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries by aligning academic outputs with sustainable development goals and the region's aspirations for a knowledge-based economy.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting reviewed collaborative initiatives focused on establishing unified academic accreditation standards and streamlining quality review and accreditation processes throughout the GCC. Dr. Al Jahrami emphasized the importance of adopting shared accreditation frameworks, asserting that such coordination would aid in elevating the quality of higher education in alignment with the GCC's collective development objectives.
