HH Shaikha Nayla bint Hamad Attends Graduation of Future Lifeguard Training Programme

Manama: Her Highness Shaikha Nayla bint Hamad bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Royal Life Saving Bahrain (RLSB), attended the graduation ceremony of the first batch of the Future Lifeguard Training Programme, held as part of the institution's ongoing efforts to promote water safety and emergency preparedness in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

According to Bahrain News Agency, during the ceremony, HH Shaikha Nayla bint Hamad honoured the graduates and underscored that promoting community awareness of water safety and rescue is a national responsibility. She emphasised that achieving this requires sustained efforts and cooperation between institutions and society at large.

HH Shaikha Nayla bint Hamad highlighted the institution's commitment to continuing its awareness and training programmes for all segments of society, with the aim of building a highly skilled and professional generation capable of responding to water emergencies.

HH Shaikha Nayla bint Hamad described the programme as a national platform that equips individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively manage aquatic emergencies, aligning with the institution's goals of safeguarding lives and ensuring public safety.

HH Shaikha Nayla bint Hamad also commended the role of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen) for its support of the programme, noting that its backing significantly contributed to the success of the initiative and the achievement of its objectives.

HH Shaikha Nayla bint Hamad further emphasised the importance of enhancing the institution's partnerships with all relevant entities, to expand its programmes and initiatives to reach all members of society. This, she added, would support the development of a comprehensive rescue system and foster a strong culture of water safety.

The Future Lifeguard Training Programme aims to train selected members of the community in water rescue and safety by providing them with essential knowledge, practical skills, and heightened awareness, enabling them to become future professional rescuers capable of saving lives and responding to emergencies.
