HH Shaikh Nasser hails BREEF-PFA agreement to treat children with autism through equine therapy

Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Honorary President of the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa hailed the agreement signed between BREEF and The Princess Alia Foundation (PAF) in Jordan.

The agreement aims to achieve constructive cooperation in the field of humanitarian work and the rehabilitation of children with autism.

The agreement is in line with the directives of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and HM King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein of Jordan and it strengthens the relations between the two countries, he added.

HH Shaikh Nasser stressed that Bahrain thrives in humanitarian work, including in sports, in consolidating the rehabilitation and treatment of children with autism through equine therapy.

Bahrain has achieved numerous successes in this aspect following the agreement with the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination in the United Arab Emirates with its outstanding record of successes in the rehabilitation of children.

The BREEF – PFA agreement reflects their productive relations within the scope of joint social and humanitarian work, encouraging and extending social, humanitarian and national work, and activating the partnership between them to achieve their objectives, HH Shaikh Nasser said.

The agreement was signed by BREEF President HH Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah bin Isa Al Khalifa and PAF President HRH Princess Alia Al Hussein.

HH Shaikh Isa conveyed the greetings and appreciation of HH Shaikh Nasser and stressed that the agreement reflects HH’s directives to cooperate with various institutions in rehabilitating children with autism as a national and humanitarian duty.

There is no doubt that the BREEF has great experiences and aspirations in developing goals aimed at rehabilitating children with autism, based on experiences from the agreement with Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, he said.

“Today, we are pleased to sign an agreement with the Princess Alia Foundation, which will have a significant effect on the continuation of humanitarian work between the two brotherly countries in rehabilitating and dealing with children with autism,” he said.

“The prominent role of the Princess Alia Foundation in rehabilitating children with autism through treating them with equine therapy and its various programs will help us gain many experiences, especially since the agreement provides for the provision of various programs, visits and training between the two brotherly countries.”

“The agreement will benefit both parties, especially since they have extensive experience in this aspect, which will contribute to achieving the desired goals. I extend my thanks and appreciation to the Bahrain Royal Equestrian Federation and Endurance Racing for its efforts.”

The agreement provides for cooperation in many fields, goals and initiatives to contribute to the rehabilitation and treatment of children with autism through equine therapy.

Under the agreement, each party nominates a coordinator whose task is to submit reports that recommend joint activities and events.
