London: His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Captain of the Royal Endurance Team, won the Rushford Endurance 120 km race held in the United Kingdom. According to Bahrain News Agency, the event was attended by His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee; and His Highness Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Supreme Council for Environment, Deputy Chairman of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club High Committee, and member of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad claimed first place after successfully completing the four stages of the race, which saw wide participation from riders. He expressed that this victory serves as significant motivation for the team ahead of upcoming championships, emphasizin g the team's determination to elevate the status of Bahraini endurance in international forums. HH Shaikh Nasser also highlighted that the participation achieved numerous goals, including enhanced exposure and experience for the riders, which will aid in improving their technical abilities in future competitions. He extended his congratulations to all riders who secured first place in the various races. In the competition, HH Shaikh Nasser surpassed Abdullah Al Bastaki from the United Arab Emirates, who finished second, while Singh from the MRM team secured third place. Additionally, the Royal Endurance Team achieved commendable results in other categories, with Zuhair Mohammed and Asim Janahi taking second and third places in the 100 km race, respectively. The 160 km race saw Hamad Al Kaabi from the United Arab Emirates winning first place, with teammate Saif Al Mazrouei in second, and Royal Team rider Mohammed Abdul Samad finishing third.
