HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Receives Citi Group CEO

Manama: His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, received Jane Fraser, CEO of Citi group. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad commended the strategic role played by the Kingdom regionally in energy and financial services, underscoring the Kingdom's keenness to explore a variety of financial solutions in partnership with Citi group, including structured finance, risk management solutions, and solutions tailored to support national projects and broad regional initiatives.

According to Bahrain News Agency, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad expressed pride in the establishment and expansion of Citi bank's Global Technology Hub in Bahrain, which strengthened the Kingdom's position as a strategic and flexible hub for talent and innovation, and cemented its leading role in the Middle East. His Highness noted that Bahrain enjoys a distinguished global reputation as a vibrant economic hub in the financial and banking sector, which is undergoing continuous development and growth in line with Bahrain's Economic Vision 2030, given the sector's leading role in achieving sustainable growth and diversifying sources of income.

HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad welcomed Citi bank's long-standing commitment to Bahrain as an investment destination, commending the bank's legacy spanning more than five decades, which contributed to the development of the financial services system in the Kingdom and enabled sustainable growth across various sectors.

The meeting discussed means to strengthen strategic partnerships in line with Bahrain's ambitions to consolidate its position as a hub for digital transformation and energy, innovation in talent, and excellence in financial services, in addition to enhancing connectivity within and outside the region. The meeting also highlighted the strength of Bahraini talent and the diversity of its human capital base, as well as the role of talent in driving innovation and capacity building, and supporting the growth of the energy and financial services sectors.
