HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Attends Royal Guard Ramadhan Sports Tournament Closing Ceremony

Manama: His Highness Lieutenant General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Commander of the Royal Guard, and Secretary General of the Supreme Defense Council, attended the closing ceremony of the Royal Guard Ramadhan Sports Tournament. Colonel His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Commander of the Royal Guard Special Force, was present.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Lt. Gen. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad awarded Col. HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad with the Royal Guard Ramadhan Sports Tournament Cup 2025 after the Royal Guard Special Force team secured first place in the tournament. Lt. Gen. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad also honored participants in various competitions in recognition of their efforts and performance.

Lt. Gen. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad highlighted the significance of sports events in enhancing physical fitness and boosting participants' physical and mental preparedness. He emphasized that such competitions reflect a spirit of challenge and discipline while contributing to the development of both athletic and military skills. He also commended the efforts made in organizing the event and valued the performance and commitment of the participants.

This year's Royal Guard Ramadhan Sports Tournament featured a range of sports and military contests, including padel, football, CrossFit, swimming, tug-of-war, and a 4x200m relay race. The event also included a 2km march followed by shooting, a 4km cross-country race for officers and personnel, boat rowing, a weapon assembly and disassembly challenge, skeet shooting with rifles and pistols, and a 100m stretcher carry.

Lt. Gen. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad underscored the importance of continuing such sports and military activities due to their role in enhancing the physical and mental readiness of Royal Guard personnel.
