Manama: The HH Shaikh Nasser Centre Artificial Intelligence Research and Development Centre, affiliated with the Nasser Centre for Science and Technology, has been awarded three awards at the Bahrain Digital Content Awards 2025. The awards recognise the Centre's advanced and innovative projects in smart education and sustainable resource management.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the AI Teacherless Classroom project received the "Learning and Education" award for presenting an advanced educational model that employs artificial intelligence to create an interactive and personalised learning environment, supporting both learners and teachers. The Electricity Consumption Dashboard project won the "Smart Settlements and Urbanisation" award as an advanced analytical tool that enhances resource management efficiency and supports decision-makers in achieving sustainability goals. The Machine Learning Platform project was awarded first place in the "Environment and Green Energy" category.
Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Al Nuaimi, Chief Executive Officer of the Centre, said that this achievement reflects the Centre's goals of fostering local innovation and continuously developing smart services that utilise advanced artificial intelligence technologies to serve the community and support the Kingdom's digital transformation. He added that all these projects were designed and implemented by talented young Bahrainis, who have demonstrated their ability to deliver innovative solutions applicable at both local and regional levels, thereby enhancing the Kingdom's position as a source of knowledge and innovation in artificial intelligence.
Dr. Al Nuaimi also commended the significant efforts of the Centre's team in developing these projects, emphasising that the team's spirit of cooperation and high professionalism were key to achieving these successes.
The HH Shaikh Nasser Centre Artificial Intelligence Research and Development Centre recently received the AI Implementation of the Year in Education Award at the GovTech Innovation Forum and awards in Dubai, reflecting the regional adoption of these projects and their positive impact on the future of education in the region.
