Riffa: Marking National Tree Week, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa today planted a tree at Riffa Palace, in the presence of several officials.
According to Bahrain News Agency, on this occasion, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman outlined the importance of environmental initiatives, particularly National Tree Week, as a cornerstone of the Kingdom's efforts to preserve the environment and ensure the sustainability of its resources. These efforts align with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Marking this moment, His Highness underscored the significance of community partnership as a core pillar of the National Afforestation Plan, emphasising the importance of adopting environmental initiatives such as afforestation and implementing proper environmental practices.
His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman commended the community's awareness and collaborative participation in various initiatives, recognising their efforts in advancing the Kingdom's environmental aspirations.
His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman was briefed on the progress of the National Afforestation Plan and the Bahrain Mangroves Initiative. His Highness commended the efforts of all relevant institutions, as well as the valuable contribution of community initiatives that support these national efforts.
His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman also commended the tireless efforts of various individuals and institutions supporting the National Afforestation Plan, which aims to double the number of trees to 3.6 million by 2035.
