Manama: Under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA), in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Waqf, has opened registration for the 30th edition of the Bahrain Grand Holy Quran Award, taking place on 14 - 30 October.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the award features seven main categories covering memorisation, recitation, and performance, and is open to men and women of all ages, including students, persons with disabilities, inmates, and non-Arabic speakers.
Now in its thirtieth year, the award reflects Bahrain's commitment to nurturing a culture rooted in the values of the Holy Quran and promoting the principles of faith, understanding, and moderation among the younger generation.
