Manama: His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), President of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), met with Antonio Arimany, President of the World Triathlon.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting was attended by His Highness Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Vice President of the GSA; His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice President of the BOC; Dr. Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar, CEO of the GSA; and Faris Mustafa Al Kooheji, Secretary General of the BOC.
HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad praised the World Triathlon's role in supporting national federations and promoting the sport on a global scale, highlighting its significance and inclusion in the Asian and Olympic Games.
The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation to further develop the sport of triathlon in the Kingdom of Bahrain. This comes in light of the sport's recent growth and popularity, driven by the support of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the SCYS.
HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad reiterated Bahrain's commitment to collaborating with the World Triathlon to achieve greater success and develop joint projects, extending his best wishes to President Arimany for continued success.
