Manama: His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee and Vice President of the Olympic Council of Asia for the Third Asian Youth Games (Bahrain 2025), received Antonio Arimany, Secretary General of World Triathlon. HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali conveyed the greetings of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC).
According to Bahrain News Agency, HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali commended the World Triathlon's efforts in supporting national federations and promoting the global development of the sport. The meeting discussed means to enhance cooperation between Bahraini and international federations to further develop triathlon in Bahrain and expand its participation base.
HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali noted the sport's achievements in the Kingdom, supported by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the SCYS. HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali highlighted HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad's role as an early practitioner of the sport despite its physical demands, along with the continuous support of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad.
HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali underscored the Bahrain Olympic Committee's commitment to strengthening collaboration with the World Triathlon to drive further success and develop joint initiatives.
