Manama: His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Deputy Chairman of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, chaired a coordination meeting for the upcoming FIBA 3x3 World Tour, scheduled to take place in the Kingdom of Bahrain from November 17-22.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting was attended by Fatima bint Jaffar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism; Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Basketball Association; Faris Al Kooheji, Secretary General of the Bahrain Olympic Committee; Yousif Al Bikhalil, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information Affairs; Colonel Hamad Al Khayyat, Director of Operations at the Ministry of Interior; along with other members.
HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali conveyed the greetings of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee. He commended the Ministry of Tourism's efforts in ensuring the success of the event, which will be hosted for the third time in the Kingdom. He also acknowledged the contributions of the Supreme Organising Committee, the Bahrain Basketball Association, and all relevant ministries, government entities, and private sector organisations.
The meeting included a presentation by PICO on its preparations for hosting the World Tour, followed by a briefing from the Bahrain Basketball Association on the necessary arrangements required from the association. HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali expressed appreciation for the efforts of all ministries and government bodies, underlining the importance of cooperation to ensure the success of the event.
