Manama: His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Deputy President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, attended an event hosted by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the Kingdom of Bahrain to watch the Saudi Arabia-Spain match in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
According to Bahrain News Agency, HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali was received by the Saudi Ambassador Nayef bin Bandar Al Sudairi, along with embassy officials and members of the diplomatic corps, as well as invited guests.
HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali expressed his pleasure in accepting the invitation of the Saudi Embassy to attend the World Cup 2026 match. His Highness valued the embassy's efforts in strengthening social and sporting ties between the two countries.
HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali further mentioned that Bahraini-Saudi relations represent a model of cooperation across various domains, with sport playing a key role in enhancing these relations and promoting closer ties and mutual understanding between peoples.
HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali extended his best wishes to the Saudi national team for success in the remainder of its World Cup participation, hoping for continued strong performances that showcase the development of Saudi football and its international standing.
