Manama: His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Personal Representative of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Environment, has issued Decision (8) of 2025 to establish and form the Executive Committee of the Higher Authority for Hawar Islands Development. This decision aims to streamline the development processes for the Hawar Islands.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Executive Committee will operate under the chairmanship of Shaikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Khalifa. The committee will include His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Shaikh Mohammed bin Sabah Al Khalifa, Ali Murad Murad, the Deputy Chief Executive of Urban Planning and Development Authority, the Deputy Chief Executive for Resources and Projects at the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, a representative of the Bahrain Defence Force, a representative of the Bahrain Real Estate Investment Company (Edamah), and the Secretary General of the Higher Authority for Hawar Islands Development.
The Committee's responsibilities will include reviewing matters referred by the Higher Authority for Hawar Islands Development, preparing necessary reports, and implementing resolutions and recommendations in coordination with relevant government entities. The focus will be on ensuring the effective development of the Hawar Islands.
