Manama: His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), President of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), visited the National Football Team's final training session ahead of their match against Australia. The match, part of the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, is scheduled to take place Tuesday, at Bahrain National Stadium. According to Bahrain News Agency, the session was also attended by His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Isa Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Bahrain Football Association (BFA); Dr. Abdulrahman Askar, CEO of the GSA; and members of the association's board. HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad observed the team's training and conveyed greetings from His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the SCYS. HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad emphasised that Bahrain's spo rting community highly expects the team to achieve positive results and showcase exceptional performances. He motivated the players to push themselves further to secure points that strengthen Bahrain's chances of qualifying for the World Cup, extending his best wishes for the team's success.
