Manama: His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, expressed deep appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, on the occasion of the issuance of the Royal Decree reappointing him as Chairman of the GSA Board of Directors.
According to Bahrain News Agency, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad stated that the royal trust is a source of pride and a strong motivation to continue serving Bahrain's sports sector with dedication, with the aim of advancing the sports movement and enhancing Bahrain's position on the regional and international levels.
HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad emphasized that the GSA, in cooperation with relevant sports entities and institutions, is committed to implementing the directives of His Majesty the King through a sustainable approach that enhances Bahrain's sports environment and contributes to further accomplishments.
HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad also expressed appreciation for the continued support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, noting that such support is key to the advancement of the sports sector in the Kingdom.
HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad further extended thanks to His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the SCYS, for the continued support and close follow-up of the youth and sports sectors. His Highness commended HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad's forward-looking vision, which has reinforced Bahrain's progress in the field of sports.
