Health Ministry and WHO Bahrain Conduct Workshop to Enhance Health Data Registration

Riyadh: The Ministry of Health, in collaboration with the World Health Organisation (WHO) country office in Bahrain, held a training workshop on death notification and improving registration mechanisms. The initiative aims to enhance health data quality and align with international classification standards.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Samya Ali Bahram, Assistant Undersecretary for Public Health, highlighted the importance of developing and improving disease classification systems in Bahrain. She noted that the workshop focuses on using the International Classification of Diseases to improve data accuracy and support evidence-based decision-making.

Dr. Bahram emphasised that updating health classification systems is key to enhancing healthcare efficiency. She added that accurate data plays a crucial role in shaping effective health policies and informed decision-making. She highlighted the need to transfer knowledge from the workshop to healthcare professionals across institutions, reinforcing efforts to improve data quality and ensure precision in death registration and classification.
