Health Minister praises frontliners and volunteers

Bahraini volunteers will have the priority in employment, taking into account their qualifications and experience in the health sector.

Health Minister Faeqa bint Said Al Saleh unveiled plans to recruit a number of doctors and nurses in accordance with the civil service regulations and procedures.

She made the announcement during a remote meeting with a number of lawmakers to discuss the recruitment of frontline volunteers among doctors and nurses.

The virtual session was also attended by Health Ministry Undersecretary Dr. Waleed Al Manea, Government Hospitals Chief Executive Officer Dr. Ahmed Al Ansari, Primary Healthcare CEO Dr. Jalila Al Sayyed and Human Resources director Entissar Al Romaithi.

“The Human Resources contacted universities that offer nursing programmes, such as the University of Bahrain and the Irish University, in order to ensure that all their graduates are employed in Bahrain”, said the minister.

She expressed pride in volunteers, especially the frontliners, hailing their dedication in serving the nation during the COVID-19 pandemic and supporting national efforts to protect citizens and residents’ health and safety.
