Health Minister, Faeqa bint Said Al-Saleh, participated in the 55th session of the Arab Health Ministers’ Council and its Executive Bureau, held remotely.
The virtual meeting discuss a number of topics on its agenda, including a draft Arab strategy to receive COVID-19 vaccinations and the mechanisms to implement it, in addition to unifying Arab efforts to provide vaccines and ensure fair access to them.
The session also discussed exchanging Arab national expertise on COVID-19 response, and the need to prepare for the post-pandemic period.
The meeting also focused on a draft Arab strategy for a health supporting budget, and a unified Arab statement at the 74th General Assembly of the World Health Organisation (WHO).
The session also discussed the health conditions in the occupied Palestinian territories, including East Jerusalem and the occupied Syrian Golan Heights, in addition to resolution 290 of the Arab Ministerial Council for Tourism on revitalising tourism and travel in the Arab countries.
