Health Minister Leads National Taskforce Meeting to Enhance Public Health and Quality of Life

Manama: Dr. Jaleela bint Al Sayed Jawad Hassan, Minister of Health, chaired a meeting of the National Taskforce aimed at promoting health and quality of life. During the meeting, the minister underscored the significance of public health promotion and improving quality of life as central national priorities within Bahrain's ongoing development plans. These priorities are set under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Jaleela emphasized the contributions of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, in pushing forward initiatives that champion healthier and more sustainable lifestyles. The minister highlighted the importance of intergovernmental coordination to bolster efforts aimed at enhancing quality-of-life metrics and fostering a sustainable environment that supports health and wellbeing.

The meeting also delved into the progress of the executive framework for the Health Promotion and Quality of Life Strategy. It explored various areas pertinent to quality of life, such as urban development, healthy living, mental health support, physical activity, and community engagement.
