Health Minister Engages Youth in Dialogue on Sustainable Development

Manama: Dr. Jaleela bint Al Sayed Jawad Hasan, Minister of Health, took part in a dialogue session with youth participating in the third edition of the 'Future Bet' programme, organised by the Bahrain Institute for Political Development. The session, attended by Dr. Ebtisam Al Dallal, Member of the Board of Trustees of the Institute; Eman Faisal Janahi, Executive Director of the Institute; and a number of officials, provided an opportunity for direct engagement between the minister and young participants.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Hasan emphasised that empowering Bahraini youth and enabling their contribution to the nation's present and future is a key pillar of the comprehensive development process led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. She commended the programme as a distinctive platform that strengthens communication between youth and officials, allowing young people to contribute ideas and visions. She also presented an overview of the ministry's efforts to enhance the health system and infrastructure, underlining the role of youth in supporting and sustaining the health sector in line with Bahrain's Economic Vision 2030.

The minister highlighted that the ministry is committed to empowering young national professionals through specialised training programmes and opportunities to participate in development initiatives, noting that investing in their potential is essential for achieving sustainable development. She emphasised that citizens' health remains a national priority, and underlined the importance of cooperation among government institutions, the private sector, and civil society to support youth initiatives in health, encouraging innovative and sustainable solutions to challenges.

Dr. Hasan referred to successful national experiences that demonstrated the ability of Bahraini youth to contribute effectively to development. Participants expressed appreciation to the minister for providing this constructive dialogue platform and commended the opportunity to engage directly with officials, which motivates them to continue supporting the health sector's progress in Bahrain.
