Manama:The Health Minister held a meeting with a delegation from the Gulf Centre for Disease Prevention and Control, led by the centre's Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Manaf Al Qahtani.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting was attended by Dr. Yazid Al Ohaly, Advisor to the Director of the Gulf Health Council, and Dr. Rasha Al Fawaz, Executive Director of the Public Health Programmes and Policies Department at Gulf CDC. Discussions focused on disease prevention and control and explored ways to enhance cooperation and coordination among health authorities within the Gulf Cooperation Council states.
Dr. Jaleela bint Al Sayed Jawad Hasan, the Health Minister, highlighted the significance of strengthening collaboration in the health sector across the GCC. She emphasized the benefits of exchanging expertise and developing regional competencies to bolster healthcare services and improve responses to health challenges.
Dr. Al Qahtani reiterated the importance of ongoing cooperation between the Gulf CDC and GCC health authorities to further disease prevention and control initiatives and support public health efforts.
