Health Minister Chairs Meeting of National Taskforce on Noncommunicable Diseases Prevention

Manama: Dr. Jaleela bint Al Sayed Jawad Hassan, Minister of Health, chaired a meeting of the National Taskforce on the Prevention and Control of Noncommunicable Diseases, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen national action to prevent chronic diseases and reduce their health impact, in line with the Kingdom of Bahrain's approved health plans and strategies.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting reviewed the latest updates from the National Health Survey, including indicators and data that support the study of disease prevalence, evidence-based health planning, and the effectiveness of prevention and treatment programmes for non-communicable diseases.

The team also reviewed key achievements in chronic disease prevention during 2025, emphasising the need to continue efforts and advance programmes and initiatives aimed at prevention and at controlling related risk factors.

The Health Minister underlined the importance of coordination among relevant authorities and continued teamwork to achieve national goals in tackling non-communicable diseases, commending the national taskforce's role in monitoring health initiatives, developing supportive policies, improving quality of life, and promoting sustainable health for all.
