The Head of the Hamas political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, during his participation in the funeral of the Iranian President at Tehran University on Wednesday, expressed his reassurance that Iran is continuing with its policy of supporting Palestine and the resistance.
Haniyeh said, according to what was reported by the Iranian Tasnim Agency, ‘The late President Ibrahim Raisi assured us that the Al-Aqsa Flood was an earthquake that struck the Zionist entity and caused a historic transformation in the world, and that the Palestinian issue is at the core of the nation’s issues and that resistance is a strategic option for the liberation project.’
He added: “The late President assured us that Iran will continue to support the Palestinian resistance until the aspirations of the people and the nation are achieved, and we are reassured that in the presence of the leaders of the resistance axis, the Islamic Republic of Iran will continue with its policy and principles under the auspices of its leader in supporting Pal
estine and the resistance.”
Haniyeh continued, saying: ‘From here we affirm that Gaza will continue its resistance until the liberation of all of the land, with Blessed Al-Quds in its heart.’
Tasnim Agency reported the start of the funeral ceremonies for the Iranian President and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, the Friday Imam of Tabriz, Ayatollah Muhammad Ali Al Hashem, the Governor of East Azerbaijan Malek Rahmati, the head of President Mehdi Mousavi’s protection team, the pilot Taher Mostafawi, the co-pilot Mohsen Daryanush, and the technical assistant to the pilot Behrouz Qademi.
