Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Abbas Hajj Hassan, on Monday welcomed Indian Ambassador to Lebanon, Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan, at the head of an accompanying delegation from the Indian embassy in Beirut.
The meeting discussed joint agricultural cooperation between Lebanon and India, as well as preparations underway for future steps that will be announced at a later stage.
Separately, Hajj Hassan welcomed Russian Ambassador to Lebanon, Alexander Rudakov, at the head of a delegation from the embassy.
Talks reportedly focused on Lebanese-Russian bilateral relations, as well as the best means to enhance joint agricultural relations and exchange of expertise for the benefit of both countries.
Both sides also discussed the possibility of holding a meeting by the Lebanese-Russian intergovernmental committee to agree on practical steps that contribute to strengthening agricultural relations and activating agricultural protocols between the two countries.
