Manama: Gulf Air Group (GFG), Bahrain's aviation group, celebrated Bahraini Women's Day at the M¶venpick Hotel, recognizing the achievements of Bahraini women across its entities and reaffirming its support for the Kingdom's vision for female empowerment led by the Supreme Council for Women (SCW). The event reflected this year's national theme, Bahraini Women: Distinction, Creativity, Innovation.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the celebration featured a recognition ceremony, honoring outstanding female employees through a special edition of the Employee of the Month awards and a panel discussion titled "Leading with Distinction: Bahraini Women Shaping Tomorrow," which brought together accomplished Bahraini women from the aviation, tourism, transport, and financial sectors.
Khalid Hussain Taqi, Gulf Air Group Chairman, expressed pride in recognizing the achievements of female colleagues across all GFG portfolios. He highlighted the essential role Bahraini women play in the progress of the aviation sector, contributing talent and leadership across every function of the Group. Taqi emphasized GFG's commitment to investing in mentorship, training, and leadership programs that provide meaningful pathways for development and career advancement, aligning with the national vision championed by the SCW.
The panel discussion, titled "Leading with Distinction: Bahraini Women Shaping Tomorrow," featured insights from Ebtisam AlShamlan, Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications Assistant Undersecretary for Aviation Safety and Security, GFG Board Member Fatima AlHasan, Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority Chief Executive Officer Sara Buhiji, Bahrain Development Bank Group Chief Executive Officer Dalal Alqais, and Mumtalakat Managing Director of Human Capital Marwa AlSaad. The discussion explored themes of distinction, creativity, innovation, purposeful leadership, and the evolving role of Bahraini women in shaping tomorrow's industries.
