Manama: Martin Gauss, Gulf Air Chief Executive Officer, visited Youth City 2030, organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs in cooperation with strategic partner Labour Fund (Tamkeen), to review its training programmes and initiatives aimed at equipping young people with skills for the future.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Gauss toured the Gulf Air platform, which offers young participants an introduction to the aviation sector, its various fields and career opportunities. He also reviewed training programmes covering leadership and entrepreneurship, science and technology, arts and culture, media and entertainment, as well as sports.
The CEO praised the diversity of programmes, particularly those focused on science, technology and innovation, stressing the importance of investing in young people and equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to meet the evolving demands of the labour market.
Gauss said Youth City 2030 provides an engaging environment for young people to develop their skills, explore new fields and build confidence, contributing to the development of a generation capable of innovation and playing an active role in Bahrain's future.
The CEO affirmed Gulf Air's commitment to supporting the initiative, highlighting its role in inspiring young people to explore careers in aviation.
The visit reflects efforts to strengthen cooperation between national institutions and youth initiatives and support Bahrain's investment in national talent.
