Gulf Air Announces Direct Flights to New York JFK During Crown Prince’s US Visit

Washington d.c.: Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, announced a significant expansion in North America with the launch of its direct flights to New York (JFK) during the official visit of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to Washington D.C. This new service establishes an additional connection to a key global commercial and cultural hub.

According to Bahrain News Agency, starting October 1st, 2025, Gulf Air will operate three weekly flights to New York (JFK) using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. Initially, Gulf Air will operate its flights from Terminal One at JFK and plans to transition its operations to JFK's New Terminal One in June 2026. This move aims to offer passengers a seamless and modern travel experience that aligns with Gulf Air's premium service standards.

Gulf Air Group Chief Executive Officer Jeffrey Goh stated that the launch of direct flights to New York's JFK marks the airline's return to the North American market. This service aligns with Gulf Air's strategy of expansion and serving strategic markets, providing passengers with greater choice and convenience for travel between Bahrain and North America, supporting the connectivity strategy of the Kingdom.
