Manama: Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), known as 'The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East', and Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, have announced an expansion of the list of items available in their special online auction. This auction is being held in anticipation of the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2025.
According to Bahrain News Agency, BIC has partnered with the online auction company Mazad to organize this charity event, which aims to raise funds for the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF). The auction is part of BIC's corporate social responsibility initiatives and will run until the final day of this year's F1 weekend in Bahrain, set for April 11-13.
Fans and enthusiasts have the opportunity to bid online for a variety of rare items, including motorsport and darts memorabilia signed by renowned sports figures. The auction is accessible via mazad.app under the 'BIC Memorabilia' category until April 13.
The latest additions to the auction have been contributed by Gulf Air, the national carrier and title sponsor of the Bahrain Grand Prix. These additions include Falcon Gold tickets for two to destinations such as Singapore, Shanghai, or Guangzhou, and two special edition Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner models at a 1:100 scale featuring retro Gulf Air livery.
These items join previously announced collectibles, such as an F1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2024 license plate signed by F1 drivers, a framed print of a Mercedes F1 car design signed by Lewis Hamilton, limited edition artwork of George Russell's car signed by the driver, racing gloves signed by Valtteri Bottas, and commentary notes from Sky F1's David Croft. There are also match-used darts boards from the 2024 Bahrain Darts Masters signed by all players, including World Champion Luke Littler, and signed memorabilia from F1 teams like Red Bull, McLaren, and Ferrari.
The RHF is involved in numerous humanitarian projects both within Bahrain and internationally.
This unique online auction is a component of the off-track events organized by BIC leading up to and in support of the F1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2025. This year's event marks the fourth round of the FIA F1 World Championship and celebrates the 75th anniversary of both F1 and Gulf Air.
