Gold Prices Decline Amid Rising Dollar

New York: Gold prices declined on Thursday amid a rising dollar. Spot gold fell 0.7% to $3,265.45 per ounce, while US gold futures dropped 1.4% to $3,273.70.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the dollar index, which measures the US currency against a basket of currencies, rose 0.2%, making gold less attractive to holders of other currencies.

In other metals, spot silver rose 0.1% to $32.63 per ounce, platinum fell 0.1% to $965.32, and palladium rose 0.1% to $938.85.
