Dama Competition Concludes in Mawrooth Championship with Strong Participation

Manama: The Dama competition concluded at the Post Office Museum in Bab Al Bahrain as part of the Bahrain Inherited Traditional Sports Committee (Mawrooth) Championship, drawing strong participation and public interest.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the tournament was held over four days using the Swiss system, featuring balanced, non-eliminatory rounds under international refereeing supervision. Mohamed Jawed secured first place in the competition, with Adnan Muzafar taking second and Khalid Abdulla finishing in third.

The championship, which aims to preserve and promote Bahrain's cultural heritage, will continue until May 7 with more traditional games planned. The committee commended the participants' commitment and highlighted their efforts in maintaining Bahrain's rich cultural traditions.
