Manama:According to Bahrain News Agency, Osama bin Saleh Al Alawi, the Social Development Minister, highlighted the importance of enhancing coordination and cooperation among GCC states in social areas during a meeting with Mohammed bin Hassan Al Obaidli, the Director General of the Executive Bureau of the Council of Ministers of Labour and Ministers of Social Affairs in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States.
Minister Al Alawi emphasized the significance of exchanging expertise and experiences and developing policies and programs that meet evolving development needs. He praised the Executive Bureau's role in supporting coordination and advancing joint GCC social efforts.
The meeting explored ways to strengthen cooperation and coordination in social and development areas, support joint GCC actions, and promote the exchange of expertise and experiences among GCC states. It also reviewed issues of common interest and developments in GCC social work, alongside efforts to enhance the social protection system and improve the efficiency of programs and initiatives for beneficiaries.
Al Obaidli commended the cooperation with the Ministry of Social Development, stressing the importance of continuing to strengthen cooperation and exchange expertise to support joint GCC efforts and achieve shared objectives in social and development areas.
