Manama: Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), met with Omar Fatih Sayan, Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of Trkiye, on the sidelines of the 8th Indian Ocean Conference themed "Voyages to New Horizons of Maritime Partnership." The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between the transport and logistics sectors and reviewed projects undertaken by the Turkish private sector in the GCC countries.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the discussions also included the outcomes of the first joint meeting between the Gulf Railway Authority and member states with the Turkish side in the field of railways, held in May 2024. Both parties emphasized the significance of joint work and strengthening relations in the transport sector to develop and enhance economic relations within the GCC, aiming to achieve common goals and sustainable development.
