GCC Secretary General Honors Female Employees on International Women’s Day

Manama: Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), attended the "Ramadhan Ghabga" to celebrate the female employees of the General Secretariat on the occasion of International Women's Day. The Secretary General highlighted that the directives of the leaders of the GCC states have contributed significantly to supporting and enhancing the role of Gulf women in the journey of joint Gulf action.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Albudaiwi expressed gratitude to the leaders of the GCC states for their support of Gulf women. He emphasized that their directives bolster the role of Gulf women at all levels in the journey of joint Gulf action. The Secretary General acknowledged the female employees of the General Secretariat, noting their vital role in joint Gulf action and commending their dedication and achievements across various domains.

Albudaiwi stressed that these employees play a key role in coordinating, preparing, following up, and planning GCC meetings at all levels with professionalism. This highlights the significant contribution of the General Secretariat's female employees in supporting the progress of the GCC's journey.

He further highlighted the abilities of Gulf women across various sectors, reinforcing their role as partners in sustainable development and the region's future vision. He noted that their continuous success reflects Gulf societies' recognition of women's contributions to national progress.

Additionally, Albudaiwi expressed pride in their achievements and underscored the Cooperation Council's commitment to supporting their advancement in line with regional development goals.
