Davos: Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), met with Mirjana Spoljaric Egger, President of the International Committee of the Red Cross, on the sidelines of the 55th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEC) 2025.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting focused on cooperation in humanitarian and relief efforts worldwide, with particular emphasis on the Gaza Strip. Discussions included the current humanitarian conditions and infrastructure needs in the region.
The meeting also explored opportunities for collaboration in training programs and capacity building for relief workers within GCC countries. Additionally, the exchange of expertise and best practices in crisis management was discussed, with an aim to strengthen coordination and joint humanitarian diplomacy efforts.
