GCC Ministers Convene in Bahrain for Strategic Meetings on Petroleum, Electricity, and Water

Manama:Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Bin Dinah, the Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, alongside Yasser bin Ibrahim Humaidan, the Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs, welcomed ministers from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries as they arrived in Bahrain to participate in important regional meetings.

According to Bahrain News Agency, these gatherings include the 37th Meeting of the GCC Petroleum Cooperation Committee and the 31st Meeting of the GCC Electricity and Water Cooperation Committee. Bahrain is hosting these meetings to signify its leadership during the 46th GCC session, underlining its dedication to enhancing Gulf cooperation and coordination in critical sectors.

The Petroleum Cooperation Committee meeting will address significant developments and mutual interests within the oil sector. Meanwhile, the Electricity and Water Cooperation Committee meeting aims to bolster Gulf cooperation in electricity and water, aiming to improve service efficiency and sustainability while addressing future developmental needs.

These meetings are crucial due to the vital role of the oil, electricity, and water sectors in promoting sustainable development and resource management. They serve as a platform for exchanging expertise, aligning positions among GCC nations, and developing recommendations to foster further integration.
