Manama: The General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), through its Emergency Management Centre, has confirmed that all radiological indicators across GCC member states remain within safe and technically permissible levels. It emphasised that no abnormal readings have been recorded thus far in relation to the events that occurred in the region today.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Secretariat stated that the Centre is coordinating with the relevant authorities in member states to monitor the situation and its developments through established monitoring and early warning systems. It also underscored that the issuance of environmental and radiological reports will continue as soon as they are received from concerned entities.
The Secretariat affirmed that the joint cooperation in the field of radiological emergencies reflects the high level of technical and operational readiness among GCC states to ensure the safety of their citizens and residents under all circumstances.
