GCC and Jordan Ambassadors Discuss Regional Security with Turkish Foreign Minister

Ankara: Ambassadors of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan accredited to the Republic of Trkiye, led by Bassam Ahmed Marzooq, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Republic of Trkiye, in Bahrain's capacity as Chair of the current session of the GCC, met Hakan Fidan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Trkiye, at the Ministry's headquarters to discuss regional developments in light of the ongoing Iranian attacks against GCC member states and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

According to Bahrain News Agency, during the meeting, the ambassadors emphasized that the security of GCC member states constitutes an integrated and indivisible system. They also reviewed the impact of the ongoing Iranian attacks on GCC states and Jordan, which have targeted civilian facilities, service sites, and residential areas, resulting in loss of life and damage to property.

Bassam Ahmed Marzooq underscored the need for Iran to cease these attacks and stressed the importance of continued coordination and joint cooperation to address current challenges, in a manner that enhances regional security and stability.
