Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs participates in roundtable debate on regional stability

Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, participated today in a roundtable meeting on regional stability and cooperation in the Middle East. The event was organized by the Kingdom of Norway in cooperation with the Atlantic Council on the sidelines of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

 

The meeting aimed to exchange views on the challenges facing the Middle East and shed light on opportunities to achieve security, stability and peace.

 

The Undersecretary for Political Affairs stressed the importance of achieving security and stability in the Middle East due to its strategic role in achieving global interests. He also affirmed the need for concerted efforts to promote the values ​​of tolerance, coexistence, mutual respect and cooperation to fulfill the aspirations of the people of the region.

 

He concluded by denouncing terrorism and calling upon the international community to combat its ideologies and sources of funding.
