Foreign Ministers of Bahrain and Trinidad and Tobago Sign Visa-Exemption Agreement

Manama: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received Sean S.M. Sobers, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs of Trinidad and Tobago. The two ministers discussed bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Trinidad and Tobago and explored means to further develop them in line with their shared interests and aspirations. They also reviewed several regional and international issues of common concern.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting also witnessed the signing of an agreement providing visa-exemption for holders of diplomatic passports between the two countries. This agreement marks a significant step in strengthening diplomatic ties and facilitating smoother diplomatic engagements between Bahrain and Trinidad and Tobago.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador Shaikh Abdullah bin Ali Al Khalifa, Director-General of Bilateral Relations; Ali Khalid Al Arifi, Chief of Al Madar Centre; and Salman Hassan Al Jalahma, Chief of the Americas Affairs. These officials played a vital role in the discussions, emphasizing the importance of continued collaboration between the two nations.
