Manama: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a phone call with Oana-Silvia ?oiu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania. The two sides discussed the close relations between Bahrain and Romania and ways to further develop them across economic, trade, and social fields, as well as continued cooperation and coordination in international forums.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the foreign ministers also exchanged views on regional developments and the repercussions of Iran's closure of the Strait of Hormuz on maritime navigation, international trade, and the global economy. The conversation highlighted ongoing regional efforts to safeguard security and stability and ensure freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz and Bab Al-Mandab Strait.
