Foreign Ministers of Bahrain and Oman Discuss Regional Developments and Ceasefire Efforts

Manama: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a telephone call with Badr bin Hamad bin Humood Albusaidi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman. The discussion centered on the latest regional developments and international efforts aimed at maintaining the ceasefire between Israel and the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as reducing tensions in the region.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the ministers also addressed steps to resume US-Iranian negotiations, which are being mediated by Oman, to preserve regional security and stability. The dialogue highlights the ongoing diplomatic efforts to manage and mitigate rising tensions in the Middle East.

In addition to these regional concerns, both sides explored ways to enhance cooperation, coordination, and consultation among GCC states. This discussion aimed to strengthen GCC unity and protect the security, stability, and interests of member states amidst the current geopolitical circumstances.
