Foreign Ministers of Bahrain and Egypt Discuss Bilateral Cooperation and Regional Security

Manama: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a telephone call today with Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates of the Arab Republic of Egypt. The two ministers reviewed the distinguished historic fraternal relations between Bahrain and Egypt, supported by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation at all levels in support of their shared interests and objectives. According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Bahrain, they also discussed the latest regional developments, efforts to preserve regional security and stability, and safeguard maritime navigation through the Straits of Hormuz and Bab Al Mandab. They exchanged views on current challenges, efforts to de-escalate tensions and promote peace in the region, strengthening joint Arab cooperation, and continued bilateral coordination and consultation in international for ums, in addition to issues of mutual interest.
