Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, received here today, the Director and Regional Representative of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) Sami Dimassi, during his official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Oil and Environment and the Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, Dr. Mohamed bin Mubarak Bin Daina.
Dr. Al Zayani welcomed Mr. Dimassi and commended his role in promoting joint cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Nations Environment Programme, especially in the field of environmental protection.
Mr. Dimassi thanked Dr. Al Zayani for his meeting, expressing appreciation for the close cooperation between Bahrain and UNEP.
The meeting also included discussions on joint cooperation between Bahrain and the UNEP in the field of environmental protection, in addition to issues of common interest.
