Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, received today a delegation from Rotary International, led by its president Shekhar Mehta.
The minister praised the role played by Rotary International and its contributions in the humanitarian, social and voluntary fields.
He hailed the success of the Eighth Rotary International Conference for District 2452 hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain this year under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Rotary International President valued the support given by the Kingdom of Bahrain to volunteer and humanitarian work.
He also asserted his aspiration to build on the constructive cooperation between Rotary International and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the authorities concerned, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
The meeting was attended by the Acting Chief of Organizations, Shaikha Aisha bint Ahmed bin Saqr Al Khalifa, Governor of Rotary District 2452, Eng. Mazen Ahmed Al-Omran, and former Governors of Rotary, Imad Abdulrahman Al-Moayad and Nejad Khair Al-Din Al-Atassi.
