Foreign Minister praises Bahrain-Sudan relations

Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, has expressed Bahrain’s appreciation for the decision taken by the transitional government of the Republic of Sudan to stop the suspension of the licence granted to the “Khayrat Al Bahrain” project in Al-Dabbah.

Dr. Zayani stressed that this decision reflects the depth of the close relations binding the two countries and praised the efforts made in this regard by Sudanese Foreign Minister Maryam Al-Sadiq Al-Mahdi, in order to strengthen joint ties.

He said that competent authorities in Bahrain, represented by the Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company, are in the process of completing a comprehensive strategic study that includes the “Khayrat Al Bahrain” project in Sudan, in line with the company’s objectives and investment vision.

This, he added, was aimed at enhancing food security in Bahrain within the directives of the esteemed government and expressed the Kingdom’s aspiration to see more bilateral cooperation materialized between the two countries along with more implementation of investment projects that would benefit both peoples.
