Foreign Minister Opens 2025 Diplomatic Forum in Bahrain

Manama: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, inaugurated the 2025 Diplomatic Forum, coinciding with the Diplomatic Day of the Kingdom of Bahrain, in the presence of heads of diplomatic and consular missions of the Kingdom of Bahrain abroad, and senior officials at the ministry.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the minister welcomed the attendees, expressing his pride in conveying the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He acknowledged the efforts of the Ministry's personnel in developing relations of friendship and cooperation between Bahrain and other countries to achieve the goals of the Kingdom's foreign policy.

Dr. Al Zayani highlighted that Bahrain's foreign policy is built on three main pillars: peace, human rights, and development. He reviewed the Kingdom's diplomatic achievements, such as hosting the 33rd Arab Summit, which sent a historic message of peace and high human rights standards. These efforts reflect the vision of His Majesty the King and enhance Bahrain's standing as a force for regional stability.

The minister discussed the role of Bahraini diplomacy in promoting international cooperation. He noted the significance of the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA) with the United States and the United Kingdom, emphasizing Bahrain's status as a reliable partner in achieving security and sustainable development.

Bahrain's progress in human rights was also commended, with the minister citing cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other authorities as a contributing factor. He stressed the importance of economic diplomacy in attracting foreign investments and promoting Bahrain as a destination for innovation and trade.

Dr. Al Zayani announced the launch of a bilateral relations platform aimed at documenting Bahrain's history of international relations, which will enhance coordination between diplomatic missions and the ministry's sectors, supporting Bahrain's strategic foreign policy objectives.

In conclusion, the minister urged participants to engage in discussions to enhance diplomatic efforts and develop policies that serve Bahrain's aspirations for peace, stability, and sustainable development.
