Manama: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received Lord Tariq Ahmad of Wimbledon, during his visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain. Lord Ahmad is the former Minister of State for the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia, and the United Nations at the UK Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Al Zayani highlighted the longstanding strategic partnership between Bahrain and the United Kingdom. He praised Lord Ahmad's contributions in fostering deeper cooperation between the two nations.
Lord Tariq Ahmad, in his response, reaffirmed the UK's dedication to advancing bilateral ties in ways that align with shared priorities.
The discussions between the two leaders focused on enhancing cooperation, especially in areas such as human rights, institutional development, and engagement with international organizations focused on rights and governance.
