Manama: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nigeria. The meeting focused on enhancing the bilateral relationship between Bahrain and Nigeria, aiming to strengthen ties at all levels and recognizing Nigeria's significant role in Africa and on the global stage.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Minister Al Zayani welcomed Minister Tuggar and reaffirmed Bahrain's commitment to expanding bilateral cooperation to serve mutual interests. He highlighted the shared interest between both countries in fostering collaboration across various sectors.
Minister Tuggar expressed Nigeria's eagerness to deepen relations with Bahrain in key areas of mutual concern. He emphasized the importance of the strong ties between the two nations and their dedication to fostering constructive relations based on mutual respect and collaboration.
The discussions also covered regional and international issues of common interest, exploring ways to enhance bilateral relations across different domains.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Shaikha Muneera bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, Director-General of the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies (MBMA); Ambassador Ahmed Mohammed Al Turaifi, Chief of Arab and African Affairs Sector; and Ali Khalid Al Araifi, Head of Al Madar Centre.
